Nico Munley grew up in Scranton, Pennsylvania — the grandson of Italian and Irish immigrants, in a family that took sports and academics seriously. Both shaped him in equal measure. He competed in four sports through high school and was recruited to play Division I football at Lehigh University, where he studied Behavioral Neuroscience with concentrations in clinical psychology, human physiology, and economics.
He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, then completed his internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach — training across the full breadth of adult medicine in one of the country’s most demanding clinical environments.
By the end of residency, one thing was clear: the traditional insurance-based model was not built around the patient. It was built around a system designed to extract value from one and deliver it to another. He had no interest in practicing inside that structure. So he built Munley Medical — a practice designed from scratch around a real patient–physician relationship, without the interference of insurance, quotas, or fifteen-minute visit windows.
The curiosity that drew him toward medicine is the same one that keeps pulling him toward neuroscience, technology, and understanding how things actually work.

A doctor’s perspective is built from everything they have lived, not only what they studied. The range of what Dr. Munley has done outside medicine is not incidental — it is part of what makes him a different kind of clinician.
Grew up in Scranton, PA, the grandson of Italian and Irish immigrants, in a family that was deeply invested in both athletics and academics. Sports were a constant; so was the expectation that you work hard and take your education seriously. Both stuck.
Competed in four sports through high school and was recruited to play Division I football at Lehigh University. His understanding of training, recovery, body composition, and performance is firsthand — not theoretical. He still trains consistently and takes his own medicine seriously.
Grew up in a family of personal injury attorneys at Munley Law in Scranton. Worked as a paralegal, attended depositions and trials. An early, direct education in physician accountability and what it means to advocate for someone navigating a system that does not always put them first.
His undergraduate degree was in Behavioral Neuroscience for a reason. He is genuinely drawn to questions about the human mind — how consciousness works, what drives behavior, where biology ends and psychology begins. It informs how he thinks about patients, not just diagnoses.
Founded Nico Flies LLC — a drone photography and videography company operating across South Florida since 2018. Also serves as social media manager and content creator for Signature Fitness. Co-hosts Munley Brothers Golf, a YouTube channel filmed and produced with his brothers Louie and Noah at courses across Florida and beyond.
Always experimenting with new tools, gadgets, and systems — wearables, software, AI, productivity stacks. If something is interesting and potentially useful, he’s probably already playing with it. Munley Medical itself is a product of that instinct: if the existing system doesn’t work, build a better one.
